I will advocate for properly funding Fire and Police Departments to ensure the quality of services our community needs and expects.

Roads & Infrastructure

I will develop a budgetary plan that optimizes the value of our hard-earned tax dollars to support the ever-growing costs of road reconstruction.

Economic Development

Attracting businesses to West Bend provides more tax base and enables the City to offer higher levels of service. I will leverage my professional experiences to cultivate new and existing business partnerships.

Quality of Life

Our City parks system and recreational opportunities are second to none—and I will work hard to keep it that way!

Meet Joel Ongert

Resident of the City of West Bend for 14 years

Married to Christina for 17 years

Children Teagan (14) and Kenna (12) attend West Bend West High School and Badger Middle School

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Bradley University  

Marketing and Sales Manager at Caterpillar Inc. for 18 years and responsible for several hundred-million-dollar budget

Proudly elected to serve the West Bend School Board since 2017, including the role of President for two years

Member of the Washington County Republican Party, Sunrise Rotary Club, Senior Citizens Activities Center Board, West Bend Public Schools Foundation, COLUMNS, and an advisory member of the West Bend Baseball Association
